The Studio
Studio Agni was founded by Funda Ersoysal to create functional ceramics that bring simplicity, beauty, and mindfulness to everyday life. Growing up in Turkey, Funda learned early on how food and shared meals bring people together, shaping her understanding of connection and community. This influence is central to her work, where each piece is designed to enhance the rituals of daily living and encourage mindful moments.
Now based in Cornwall, Studio Agni has evolved into a communal pottery and ceramic studio, where creativity and collaboration thrive. The space brings together a diverse community of artists and makers who share a passion for craftsmanship and sustainability. Funda’s ceramics continue to be inspired by the raw beauty of the landscape, with textures, colors, and forms reflecting the natural world—from the rugged coastline to the earthy tones of the countryside.
We are committed to sourcing materials ethically and minimizing our environmental impact. Funda's dedication to craftsmanship and care ensures that every piece feels personal, purposeful, and connected to its origins.
At Studio Agni, we believe that art should be woven into everyday life. Whether you’re discovering our collection, joining our workshops, or connecting with fellow creatives in our communal studio, we invite you to slow down, appreciate the craft, and celebrate the simple joys of life.

Meet the Artist
Hi, I’m Funda Ersoysal, the creator behind Studio Agni. With 15 years of experience as a multidisciplinary artist, I’m currently studying for an MA in Fine Arts at Falmouth University, focusing on material research and ceramics. My work is deeply rooted in the exploration of materials, their histories, and the forces that shape them. I have a profound love for fire, which is central to my creative process, particularly in the different firing techniques I use. Inspired by Cornwall’s rich heritage, my ceramics carry the weight of time and memory, emphasizing sustainability and the ephemeral nature of creation. Through mindful craftsmanship, I create functional objects that act as records of time, reconnecting the physical world with deeper narratives of place, purpose, and shared human experiences.
