Wheel-thrown in Cornwall and wood-fired in an anagama kiln in Denmark, this one-of-a-kind stoneware ceramic jugs/vases was fired to approximately 1300°C in the Sutema Chamber. The exterior is left unglazed, allowing flame, ash and heat to naturally mark the surface throughout the firing, creating patterns that are unique to this piece. The interior is finished with a soft shino glaze, offering a subtle contrast to the flame-marked exterior. Designed as both a functional vase and a sculptural object, it can be displayed with fresh or dried flowers or enjoyed as a collectible ceramic artwork.
